Clearing the way for what's next

Brevard County is building fast, and most of that growth starts with clearing. Whether it's an infill lot in West Melbourne, a parcel on the Malabar Road or Bayside Lakes side of Palm Bay, or a corner that's held a tired old structure for decades, someone has to remove what's there before anything new can go up. That's the job we do — the demolition and clearing that turns a cluttered lot into a clean, build-ready pad.

Space Coast Demolition works with builders, spec developers, investors, and owners across Brevard to clear residential and light-commercial sites. We remove the structures, break out the old concrete, pull the buried surprises, clear the brush, and haul it all away so your site-prep and foundation crews walk onto a clean lot.

What we clear

Site & lot clearing across Brevard

  • Old house, mobile home & outbuilding removal
  • Slab, footer & foundation breakout
  • Driveway, walkway & old pad removal
  • Abandoned septic tank & buried debris removal
  • Brush, overgrowth & light vegetation clearing
  • Full debris haul-off to a pad-ready finish

Built to keep your build on schedule

Clearing is the first line item on the construction schedule, so a slow or sloppy clear delays everything downstream. We plan access, sequencing, and haul-off up front and coordinate with your timeline so the pad is ready when your crews are — not two weeks after.

Scope drives permitting. Demolishing a structure requires a demolition permit through the local building department, and heavier land clearing or the removal of protected trees can trigger a separate land-clearing permit or environmental review through Brevard County or the city — this is Florida, so gopher tortoise and wetland considerations are real on some parcels. We handle the demolition side and coordinate cleanly with your site-prep or land-clearing plan on the rest, so nothing stalls at inspection.

Site clearing FAQs

What does site clearing include?
For us it means getting a lot to a build-ready state: removing any existing structures, slabs, foundations, driveways, and old septic tanks, clearing brush and light overgrowth, and hauling all of it off. We hand the builder a clean pad rather than a lot with surprises still buried in it.
Do you clear lots for builders and developers?
Yes. A lot of our clearing work is for GCs, spec builders, and investors in Brevard's growth areas — West Melbourne, the Malabar Road and Bayside Lakes side of Palm Bay, and the Viera-Suntree corridor. We coordinate with your schedule so the pad is ready when your crews are.
Do I need a permit to clear a lot in Brevard County?
It depends on the scope. Demolition of a structure needs a demolition permit, and heavier land clearing or the removal of protected trees can trigger a separate land-clearing permit or environmental review through the county or city. We handle the demolition permitting and coordinate with your site-prep plan on the rest.
Do you remove old slabs and foundations?
Yes. Leftover slabs, footers, and foundations from a previous structure are one of the most common things builders need gone before they can start. We break them out, load them, and haul them off with the rest of the debris.
